About the studio
A carpenter's workshop, for software.
Suthar means carpenter. It is a name that comes with an idea attached: you measure, you cut once, and you make a thing that outlasts the fashion that produced it. That is an unusual way to build software, which mostly gets rented, phoned home, and sunset.
The story
Independent · WindowsWhere it came from
Suthar Studios is an independent, one-person studio building Windows applications. It exists because the tools we needed either did not exist, cost a subscription, or wanted a copy of the files before they would help.
What it makes
Seven products so far, across developer tools, AI, creative software and desktop utilities. Three of them you can get today; the other four are built and waiting on an installer, a certificate or a store listing. All Windows-native, and every one designed to work with the network cable unplugged.
The standard we hold to
Values- Private by construction
- Your data stays on your disk. Not encrypted in transit to us: never sent to us. Most of these products have no server to send it to.
- Offline where it counts
- Unplug the ethernet cable mid-render and nothing happens. A tool that stops working when the Wi-Fi drops was never really yours.
- Native performance
- Rust, WinUI and Tauri. Built for Windows, not wrapped for it. DevStation ships in about 5 MB, DiskScope in about 10.
- Reversible by default
- Nothing destructive happens without a way back. DiskScope never issues a delete; DevStation takes a safety snapshot before it restores one.
- Said plainly
- Three of these seven are shipping. The rest say so on their own page, and none of them offer you a download button that goes nowhere.
How a product gets made
Development processStart from the annoyance
Every product here began as something that wasted an afternoon. A jersey shop retyping a hundred names. A podcast that needed clipping. A project whose context had evaporated after six weeks.
Ship the smallest thing that works
The first version does one job properly rather than six jobs adequately. JerseyFactory-DTF refuses to be a design tool. DevStation refuses to be an editor.
Keep it on the machine
A local-first design removes the account, the server, the subscription and the breach at the same time. It is usually less code, not more.
Make it reversible
Nothing destructive happens without a way back: a Recycle Bin instead of a delete, a safety snapshot before a restore, a recovery phrase before an encryption key.

Builds and maintains every product in the catalogue: the Rust, the C#, the installers, the licence system, the release notes, and the support mail. Works AI-first with Claude Code, which is how one person carries seven Windows applications from idea to installer. By day, an Unreal Engine artist in virtual production at Liminal AR VR in Mumbai. The first product, Jersey Factory Pro, exists because a jersey factory was retyping two hundred names by hand, and that is still how every product here starts.
