OverviewThe problem
Six weeks after you touched a project, the context is gone. Git tells you what the diff was, not why. The notes are in three places, the time went somewhere, and the side project you quietly abandoned looks identical to the one you finished.
What DevStation does
DevStation sits above your editor, git and issue tracker and records the work as it happens: sessions, file changes, snapshots and notes, into one local SQLite file. It isn't an editor, git, Jira or Notion. It sits above them.
What it does

The first file save begins a session. Idle pauses it, long silence ends it, and it is crash-safe.
Watches the right files
Every create, modify, delete and rename, debounced and gitignore-aware, so there is no node_modules noise.
Restore points, not commits
Content-addressed snapshots, deduped and compressed. A safety net beside git, not a replacement, and restoring writes a safety snapshot first, so the undo has an undo.
Ctrl+K finds everything
Projects, note contents, filenames and actions in one full-text indexed palette.
Notes kept next to the code
Typed notes, idea, bug, customer, requirement, mirrored as real markdown files inside the project folder. Edit them in vim and DevStation picks the change straight back up.
Project health
Healthy, Quiet or Stalled, computed from real activity. The dashboard tells you which project you have been quietly abandoning.

Questions
FAQCan I use it today?
Not yet. The software is finished and I use it daily, but it is not released. Before I hand it to anyone it has to pass the honest test: one full week where the dashboard answers every question I would otherwise open git log for.
Does this replace git?
No. Snapshots are a safety net beside git, not a version control system. DevStation records the work around the commits: sessions, changes, notes and milestones.
Is anything sent anywhere?
No. There are no outbound requests, no fonts or analytics from a CDN, and no account, because there is no server to have an account on.
Release pending
DevStation isn't out yet
Not released yet. The software is finished and in daily use on one machine, mine. The Store submission is the next step, and the honest gate before it is a full week of real work where the dashboard has to answer for itself.
